On your phone or laptop, open castimer.com/timer and start a countdown. No account or installation needed.
Open the fullscreen display link on the casting device — a Chrome tab on your laptop, or directly on your Android phone.
On a laptop: click the Chrome menu (⋮) → Cast… and select your TV. On Android: open Quick Settings → Cast, or use the Cast button in Chrome. The display screen appears on the TV in fullscreen.
The Cast icon is missing in Chrome
Update Chrome to the latest version, make sure the laptop and Chromecast are on the same Wi-Fi network, and try restarting the router if the device still does not appear.
Casting is laggy or pixelated
Close other tabs and apps, switch to a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network, and in the Cast menu enable "Optimize fullscreen videos" for smoother playback.
The TV shows the controller instead of the big timer
You are casting the wrong tab. Select the display screen tab in the cast source picker — the controller stays on your phone or laptop.
Casting drops during the event
Keep the laptop plugged in and disable sleep mode. If the connection drops, the timer keeps running — just cast again and refresh the display screen.
Yes. Your phone or laptop and the Chromecast must be on the same Wi-Fi network. Guest mode can work without it, but a shared network is the most reliable.
